~Karl Prefanaly 3.Sep.03 03:38 PM a Web browser Domino Server6.0.2 CF1Windows 2000
Recently I changed one of our servers from a standard install to a partitioned install. The procedure I followed was to uninstall the Domino server software so that only the mail databases would be left in the notes data directory, copy the notes.ini over to the notes data directory and then install from CD and set up two partitions, one in the existing data directory and one in a new directory. The actual installation worked fine and dandy, however I'm unable to use the java console on this machine now.
Prior to the reinstall, I was able to use the java console on this server. After installing I modified the Windows service command line to reflect the new configuration (i.e. the service start command was now C:\Lotus\Domino\nserver.exe -jc =D:\Lotus\Domino\Data\Server1\notes.ini instead of its former value of C:\Lotus\Domino\nserver.exe -jc =C:\Lotus\Domino\notes.ini ). The server starts OK under the console, but whenever I (or any other administrators) try to access it we get "not authorized" messages.
One strange thing is that although the admindata.xml file gets updated properly (I'd tried deleting it and it did rebuild correctly, and it updates periodically), it seems to be ignored when the server starts. I say this because when I go into Edit->Controller Access on the server window the list is empty. It's almost as if nserver doesn't understand that the location of the admindata.xml file has changed with the upgrade because it isn't reading it in to get the values, but I can't find anywhere where there is a parameter telling the server the location of this file. Can anyone help?
